Kicking & Screaming (2009) was commissioned by the Grand Valley State University New Music Ensemble, and premiered by them in March 2009. The work is to be performed by piano, percussion (2 players) and at least eight other instrumentalists that provide a fairly balanced ensemble in terms of register and balance.
