Ear Bend (2014) is a musical depiction of how gossip is quickly spread and altered. The ensemble chants a short text, which is then used to create melodic and rhythmic motives that are passed around and developed. It was commissioned by Susan Leffler, in memory of Mr. William Leffler, and the Scarsdale Middle School for the Scarsdale Middle School Eighth Grade Band, Nicholas Lieto, director.
