Westchester Daydream (2016) is a musical imagining of the reveries one might have when enjoying a sunny spring day, which utilizes a single melodic theme to generate all of its material. While mostly warm and uplifting, the work turns darker and more turbulent in the middle, only to return to the original mood in the end. It was commissioned by Susan Leffler, in memory of Mr. William Leffler, and the Scarsdale Middle School for the Scarsdale Middle School Eighth Grade Band, Nicholas Lieto, director.
